There’s a strong AngloGold Ashanti connection with Corvus Gold (TSX:KOR) with the mining giant owning nearly 20% of the company and Corvus Gold’s CEO and President, Jeff Pontius, having managed AngloGold’s North American exploration. Corvus Gold’s main mine in Nevada is more advanced than most explorers in the state with a preliminary economic assessment showing 3.6 million ounces in estimated reserves and a net present value of nearly $600 million. AngloGold operates near Corvus Gold in Nevada as do Kinross Gold and Coeur Mining. In this interview with Capital Ideas Media publisher Mark Bunting, Pontius explores the possibility of Corvus Gold eventually getting taken out.
